The senior unit of cavalry within the army of Pappenheim, von Mercy's Horse has a long history of service back to the Pangaean wars of Religion a century ago.
The current Inhaber is Colonel Rupert von Mercy a prominent member of the ducal court and the aide to the ReichsMarshall in his imperial duties. Colonel von Mercy's family connections have allowed him to spend a good deal of money on his regiment he only uses the best horses from his stud farms in Huhnerland, his men wear tailored uniforms and each one must meet the Colonel's exacting standards.
At the battle of Grosser Feuerbach von Mercy's Horse as well as von Werth's Horse drove the cream of Ikeaonia's cavalry from the field under the leadership of the hard charging Major General Amadeus von Wehrwolf.
